Mary Bernadette Schultz (a.k.a. Bernie), owns and operates Bernie Schultz Realty and RealStar Premier Properties. She is a native of the Washington area and is a veteran of the local new home building trade. Bernie is a fourth generation entrepreneur and comes from a family of marketers and builders that have successfully completed hundreds of new home projects throughout the Washington area. Her company provides a constellation of marketing and sales services to residential builders and developers. The firm covers most of the Metropolitan Washington area and is most active in Suburban Maryland.
Bernie uses a 'team building' approach that is effective with both national companies and smaller local builders. In addition to providing builders with on-site new home sales professionals, the company offers RealStar, which is an innovative contingency sales program. Other services include: market studies, sales strategies, on and off-site sales training, motivational speaking and training, brochures, ad production and placement, direct mail campaigns, and special event promotion and management.
Bernie is an active member of the Maryland-National Capital Building Industry Association (MNCBIA). She is currently serving as a Vice President, and is a member of the Association's Board of Directors. She also serves on the Board of the Washington Metropolitan Sales and Marketing Council. In addition, she is a Member of NAHB's Institute of Residential Marketing (MIRM). Bernie is also an instructor for NAHB's MIRM qualification course, performs sales training nationally, and is a motivational speaker and skills trainer for new home sales professionals. She also is the first woman recipient of the prestigious Joseph C. Rodgers Award, which recognized her as MNCBIA's associate member of the Year, also recognized by the Annapolis - Anne Arundel Chamber of Commerce as Woman Business Advocate of the Year, and additionally has receive custom builder awards.
